As Bonds was going through his second home run drought of the season he finally launched homerun #747 into center field when the giants were behind 3-1 for a 2 run homer to tie the game 3-3. The giants then took the lead 4-3 in the game and won it.

I was going to write a blogpost in a few days about how some are questioning if “this is it” and if age has caught up to bonds. I thought the whole notion was crazy. He hit 12 homeruns in his first month with very few at bats. That is not someone who age has caught up with. Now that he has hit another homerun hopefully that can set the theories at bay.

Lets not forget Morris who pitched beautiful and had a complete game for his 3rd time this season. Morris has been a true asset this year. And a great surprise this year considering his win record last year.
