I know I’m getting ahead of myself, but this news article I just read here brought up some interesting quotes from Bonds. Bonds seems to want to take up the challenge of surpassing his Godfather Mays 3,282 hits. Bonds would undoubtedly have to play in 09, if he wanted a shot at catching that number of hits. He would turn 45 in the middle of the 09 season. Let’s also not forget that Bonds probably would like to have over 800 homeruns while he is at it.

Remember in the beginning of the year, Bonds’ agent was saying Bonds could play for many seasons to come and had plenty of homeruns left in him. I’m just wondering if Bonds said something similiar to him to make him say that. There is a lot of things that will be going on, we don’t even know if Bonds will be back in SF next year, maybe he will wind up DHing in 08 or 09 for the Angels.
