Tim Lincecum as the starter was taken out for the bullpen in the 5th inning after giants fell behind 3 to 1 in the 5th. Giants scored the second run when Klesko hit a ball that richoceted off the wall. Klesko barely beat out the tag as he slid into 3rd base for the triple. Barry bonds came up to bat next and hit a smoking line drine past the wishbone defense specially against him to get the game tying RBI.
After loading the bases in the bottom of the 9th with the game tied with Klesko and bonds both intentionally walked in a row the giants strand the runners and the game goes into the 10th.
The catch Alfonso and the A’s runner collide at home plate for a play. Alfonso is clipped bluntly in the knee area and has to leave the game. With Alfonso already taking Molina’s place they were out of catchers. Noah Lowry had to fill in right field and Randy Winn 3rd base.
Feliz had some experience as a catcher I believe, but not as a major leaguer. Winn was the most “out of place” of the players in their new defensive roles. Feliz played the position beautiful. There was one scare on a grounder pitch that feliz snatched up like it was a backhanded 3rd base grounder as if he was still playing 3rd base.
