I noticed today that Giants once again used the Giants name in spanish form “Gigantes” on their uniform in celebration of “latino night”. They have used this in the past also on days such as Cinco De Mayo, which is just sad, since that isn’t even an American holiday. I think this is absolutely disgusting for two reasons.

First off this is America I don’t want to see the Giants uniform mutilated with that crap. Second off this isn’t about diversity or any other international disguise that everyone is putting it under. This is about the baseball owners using indoctrination and trying to embrace the “latin culture” to make it easier for us to accept cheaper paid bodies from 3rd world countries, that are easy to manipulate because of language and poverty barriers.

David Sheffield was the first major leaguer baseball player to bring this issue to light, but many baseball fans like me are disgusted by the situation and have noticed this disturbing trend the last few years. We see a sharp decline in African-AMERICAN baseball players because these foreign spanish latinos are taking their job because not only are they cheaper to pay, but they also can threaten to send them back to their home country if they get out of line.

I’m really sad to see the direction major league baseball has taken the last 10 years or so. Pretty soon there won’t be any americans in MLB baseball anymore at this rate. Now there are some good players from south of the border, but you can find just as many good talented ball players in America without resorting to slave labor.

I have to agree with you. I thought they were only going to use those uniforms for Cinco de Mayo and that was bad enough but to use them again is utterly reprehensible.

I’m not so sure about the payscale on Latino ballplayers but I would think if they are a star, they would get the big bucks just like the otherplayers. Actually, most of the Latino players are Venezuelan, Dominican or Puerto Rican and Puerto Rico is part of the US. IMHO, the MLB just wouldn’t be competitive if the Dominicans weren’t part of the league. For a small country, they live for baseball and they turn out some hot players. Same can be said for Japan, they’ve been kicking out the awesome players over the last 10 years. I don’t think it’s an issue of race or color, but it’s an issue of talent and if players are talented they will be a starter in the major leagues.

Thats what they want you to believe, it’s all propoganda. There is plenty of players from U.S that can do it, they just don’t work as cheap or as easy to manipulate. Only the higher tier veterans aren’t getting a paycut, but all the lower players are now competiting with these lower tier 3rd world country players.

African AMERICANS are now 8% instead of 25% 30 years ago, Who do you think took their job?
