Well Lincecum keeps getting better and better and he certainly has lived up to the expectations now. In his 3rd start he allowed zero runs into the 7th inning with 10 strike outs, outpitching the phenomenal oswalt of the Houston Astros. Giants in their poor offense again only got one run in the first 9 innings as a result of a combination of 2 simulataneous throwing errors which allowed randy winn to score.

In the 12th the Giants scored a run and then in the bottom of that inning the game was almost tied by a towering foul ball and Benetiz gave a belly laugh right to Omar Vizquel at shortstop. I don’t think anyone thought it was funny. One thing about Benetiz is you know the end game is going to be interesting. The giants kept them from scoring and won the game 2 to 1 in the 12th inning. Barry played a full 12 innings, the most he has played in many years.

Giants play the A’s today. A’s have had a lot of sucess against the Giants. Barry Bonds will be playing all 3 games as Designated hitter.
